Personal Training
At Functional Strength, we offer personal
training with an emphasis on strength that supports healthy,
stable movement with correct postural alignment. To this
end, as a personal trainer we focus on body weight exercises,
exercises to develop balance, and plyometric work.
Oftentimes, while training, people develop
strength in only one plane of motion. This can lead to imbalances
in the body because the body moves more dynamically than
that one specific plane of motion. Peak performers in any
sport can apply their strength, moving smoothly and fluidly
in any direction. 

At Functional Strength, we can custom design
a strength training and weight loss program that crosses
over between multiple disciplines, including cardiovascular
training, strength training, and Pilates. Such personal
training will include:

Starting in April, Functional
Strength is taking our circuit classes outside! In
addition to the body weight, plyometric, and kettlebell
exercises that we usually do in class, we will be
jogging, jumping, running obstacle courses, playing
games and just generally whipping you into shape.
It will be so much
fun you won't realize how hard you are working!
Join us Tuesdays at 6:30pm and get into shape
for the summer at Highlands Heritage Regional Park
(behind the Post Office at Quebec and University).
$25 per class/drop in
or $20/for 5 classes
