At Functional Strength, we offer personal training with an emphasis on strength that supports healthy, stable movement with correct postural alignment. To this end, as a personal trainer we focus on body weight exercises, exercises to develop balance, and plyometric work.
Oftentimes, while training, people develop strength in only one plane of motion. This can lead to imbalances in the body because the body moves more dynamically than that one specific plane of motion. Peak performers in any sport can apply their strength, moving smoothly and fluidly in any direction.
At Functional Strength, we can custom design a strength training and weight loss program that crosses over between multiple disciplines, including cardiovascular training, strength training, and Pilates. Such personal training will include:
